Ah, yes, you realize I had more than one; well, we’ll deal with each one individually, I think—I have to recall each of them, after all!

The two examples preceding this chapter had very, very little in common. One described an attractive, young, moderately wealthy woman, the other a dirty, old, and poverty-stricken old man. Truly, there is only a single, obvious connection between the two—the use of drugs. The woman uses dipped marijuana—that is to say, a marijuana cigarette dipped in what is usually a stimulant or club drug--the man cocaine.

My MachinesMy machines are not like the other instruments this land uses. Rather than being aesthetic, natural, a cool bronze color that seems to rise out of the earth, mine are black, unfinished iron, serrated, if I was in a particularly sadistic mood, pointed, pronged, barbed; they serve their purpose as well as the other machines; I have made them this way only to prove a point.   
The victim of my point walks around the machine, it ticking softly, measuring atmospheric changes, I think, a dull blue-colored liquid slowly, endlessly, dripping into a glass vial in its iron center. She seems to want to rest her arms on it, but cannot find a pl My Machines

There are some places in the world where foxes are called kitsune.  Foxes exist almost everywhere in the world. But no matter where you find them, they all have a few things in common. They are fast, cunning, and generally somewhat silent. They are also a part of many myths.  
This is one of them.   
 A long time ago, in a small village far from civilization, there lived a pair of famous pot makers. The village had difficulty storing water between dry seasons, and as such the necessity for good pots was paramount. I read, much of the night

Ooookkkk, so, it;s been a while since my last update. A very long while. So, I will list everything that has happened to me. Because you, readers, care so much >_>

1) I worked at my job. It sucked

2) I broke up with my girlfriend

3) I left my job to go to college

4) I went to college (where I am now); Holy Cross

5)I wrote one thing, about two days ago

6)I hadn't been writing much

7)I developed a slight taste for metal. Mainly Symphony X

8) I deleted about 30 journals and deviation from my neglected DA account--sorry watchees, I'll try to get to as many as I can. Don't hate me T-T

9) I read all the Naruto manga available in the US--and I mean fan translations.

10) I became a NaruHina fan. Pathetic

11)I have yet to finish Ergo Proxy--the last DVD waits at my house, and I will be united with it Columbus day weekend

12) I look forward to the new She Wants Revenge CD, out October 9th

13) I discovered, much to my chagrin, I lack a lumbar curve, and have rather serious disc damage. I'm not as concerned about this as you may think.

14) I have further realized that I am an objectivist, and am voting for Ron Paul in the primaries.


15) I decided to invest in a large book of H.P. Lovecraft's works--I know, not very intellectual, but I like that kind of senseless horror, so we'll see what I think.

Hmm, i think that't about it. Enjoy Dalziel 3--it;s long, and intersting, if slightly disappointing at the end. Oh well.

Ergo Proxy is a very, very interesting show. It's definitely dark and cerebreal, a must for me, but it has just a tinge of humor that really adds to it. Alot of surrealism as the show progresses as well. I reccomend it.

Oh, I've seen it. I was just wondering how you were finding it because it tends to get very mixed reactions from those who've watched it.

Personally I though it was pretty good, slightly self-indulgent from the writers but I'd be a hypocrite to complain, and I found it interesting enough. As esoteric sci-fi goes I thought it wasn't quite Tehxnolyze or Lain but very enjoyable nonetheless.

ooohhh, you had already seen it. Right, my opinion: I haven;t seen the whole thing yet, as I'm buying Region 1 releases, so I;ve seen up to ep. 16. Still I really like it--mayeb it's the whole bizzreness of it. My only annoyance is the inconsistency of the character art, but that's really minor. I don;t know who it's going to end, but i do hope it has a good ending--they could mess it up pretty easily, i fear.

Yeah, the character art is pretty iffy and about the ending, without spoiling it. It was pretty good and makes sense pretty much so I don't think you need to fear.
